Hello again!

I know it's my own fault that I haven't posted in over 2 months and I don't really have an excuse for that. I can only say that my Laptop broke down in January so I had to buy a new one which took some time. So yeah. And I have to write a paper for school which determines my grade and I'm still not finished which sucks. But now I have Spring break for 2 weeks and planned loads of new posts and I took photos the last weeks!

So I gotta say that I love my room even more when it get's to spring. Or rather the view from my room. When i look out my window there is a massive tree and the warmer it gets the more birds are chirping and sitting in there. I think it's the best thing to wake up with the sun rising and the sound of birds. So one morning at like 6am,I sat myself infront of that window with a bowl of porridge and my camera. I took some amazing pictures which just confirmed that there is nature right at of your front door and you don't have to go far!

My breakfast ideas in another post??

My favorite corner

SNIPPETS!

You probably already saw some snippets of my room from a couple of posts. But I redecorated it recently and I have a new favorite corner which I think represents my personality pretty good!

When I visited my family over Christmas we went to a huge Christmas sale in a garden center in the Netherlands, where everything was 40% off! I bought some candles and those three little succulents which I looove. I didn't want to leave them in their little pots so I decided to make it a little bit more artistic.
I took a glass bowl and layered different stones and grasses.
First layer: Black gravel (from our aquarium)
Second layer: Moss (picked it in the garden)
Third layer: Plant soil
Then I carved big enough holes and put those bad boys in there.

Those are two of my three guitars and my amp.

I got this picture for my birthday and it's really really tiny. It's smaller than the palm of my hand and I find it cute. The drum next to it is from when my family went to Hawaii and it was one of the souvenirs.

Amazing breakfast & discovering the area

DAY 2

The next day we visited my dads side of the family but that wasn't 'til the afternoon, so we had some time to walk around and see where we were staying.

The day started with us getting up with the roosters crowing next door. We had some time to get ready, and while the lovely hosts prepared mean breakfast, me and my sister snuck out and walked around for a bit. There is a really long path down into the next valley, with nothing but trees and fields surrounding it. Everything is really quiet and you can hear nothing but the wind, some birds and the noises the horses make whilst walking!!
I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time and you don't have to worry about if the wind destroys your hair or if you stand in a mud puddle with your left foot.

At 9 a.m. the host lead us into a lovely little room in the cottage. The breakfast was amazing and the jam was home made, the buns were fresh out the oven and the selection was huuge!

Area around the cottage!

It was quite warm especially for December! so the cold wind was welcome to contribute to the winter, even tho it was messing up our hair.

This was the amazing breakfast spread in a 1700 atmosphere!

Heading back to the cottage after visiting my grandma was quite an experience, because would you look at the beautiful sunset!

I hope you're exited for the last day tomorrow!

Visiting my Family!

DAY 1

Over Christmas I went to visit my family who live near Münster.
My family and I stayed in an awesome farmhouse for three days.
The family lived in the actual house which was over 300! years old, and we stayed in the little lodge next to it.
I don't think words can actual describe how awesome it was and the old vibe you got with it.
I took over 200 pictures and it was the worst to only pick a couple to post.
There were only two houses around and they had a horse stable next to their house.
It's actually called a horse station for when you are horseback riding and wanna stay somewhere. You and your horse can both stay there!!

On the 25th we went to visit my mom's side of the family. It was great to see my cousins, aunts,grandparents... again.
We all met at my grandparents' and had a huuge meal. Everyone brought a course so we created a menu and we all were full!

Landhaus am Dahlberg

This was the room upstairs, where my sister and I stayed in. It was really simple but had amazing Christmas decoration!

Hello!

Get ready for day 2 tomorrow!

Day 4

Christmas walk

Today I came home from school, and just had my last final for the semester. Because I didn't get much fresh air the last weeks, I decided to pull out the leashes and go out on a nice long walk with my doggies.
I wrapped up in a huge scarf, some boots and a big sweater and I was out and about!!
We have this perfect little path next to fields, a river and loads of nature. I took my camera with me and took some pictures.
