Day 7

Christmas Shopping Purchases  ðŸŽ…

I went shopping quite a lot the last weeks and wanted to show you!
I mainly went to H&M for clothes because it's the only shop near me wear everything fits and I like their winter collection a lot. And also it's not really expensive!!
I also bought some presents and other stuff but you'll see below!

Shop now:

Grey Sweater 34,99
Patterned Sweater  (Similar) 14,99
Brown Sweater 19,99
Orange Sweater (Similar) 19,99

Those are some gift ideas for you. I feel like some of them are for younger people like "wreck this journal" but those are some inspirations.
I think you can never go wrong with DIY books. I really love my wreck this journal book and think it would make a great Christmas gift.
The other things basically complete a cozy winter evening.
I got some extremely comfy socks a little *zebra-cow* pillow with different spices in it, and you put it in the microwave for two minutes and put it in your neck. And the plus is that it smells amazing as well!
The next thing is a book as well. It's by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Miracle and there are three short stories in it. It's called "Let it snow" and what better time to read it now. And maybe it's gonna start snowing when I'm reading it!!
I also got some tea. I don't think you can ever go wrong with tea and I bought the more expensive version of my mums favorite tea so I know it's gonna go down well.
As gift idea you can buy a little tea-time set, with a mug, some tea, and put some home-made cookies next to it.
For baking enthusiasts: I'm gonna buy some baking stuff like baking books, bowls, brushes, baking forms, and as you can see a spatula.
Last but not least I bought the first season of friends. I am absolutely in love with it and am currently in season 7. I'm so sad that there are only 10 seasons and I'm sure I'm gonna re-watch it! I think it's a great gift and anyone would enjoy it!

Spatula ~7$
Heat pillow ~22$

Nut Wedges

TUESDAY

So I'm kinda swerving into the baking lane(?) and I found a new recipe book on the book shelf. I looked through it and found "Nussecken", and because it's almost Christmas, I guess, I made them. It got me into a really festive mood and I feel like it was a mistake to make them because it's mid October. But you can never be too early for Christmas baking!

What you need:

-*250g flour
-*100g sugar
-*100g margarine
-*1 packet vanilla sugar
-*2 eggs
-*1 teaspoon backing powder
_ _ _ _ _

-1 jar apricot jam
-100g chopped almonds
-100g chopped hazelnuts
-3 tablespoons water
_ _ _ _ _

-200g bittersweet chocolate

First step:
Mix all ingredients (*) in a bowl until you get a stiff dough. You can knead it if it gets too hard.

Second step:
Grease the baking tray with margarine. (Don't forget the corners!)

Third step:
Place the dough onto the tray and smooth it out.

Fourth step:
Spread out the apricot jam onto the dough.

Fifth step:
Take the leftover ingredients and bring them to boil in a pot.
(Don't forget to stir them, they will get burnt quickly!)

Sixth step:
Spread the hot mixture on top of the apricot jam.

Seventh step:
Put the tray into the oven at 175C (~350F) for about 25-30 minutes.

Eighth step:
Take it out of the oven and let it cool down.

Ninth step:
Cut the dough into many little triangle shapes. But keep it on the tray.

Tenth step:
Melt the chocolate in a bowl on top of hot water.

Eleventh step:
Dip two corners of each nut wedge into the chocolate.

TADAA!

Tell me in the comments what your favorite fall/winter recipe is :)

If you bake the nut wedges, tag them with #k80cake on instagram so I can see them :)

What I Like

weekly FAVORITES

Hey guys!
So like every Sunday I'm going to show you my favorites today. It's not the regular favorites post where I show you random stuff I enjoyed this month. I will show you my favorites in five specific categories.
- favorite thing to watch
- favorite person
- favorite thing I did
- favorite piece of clothing
- favorite tumblr post
Then I'm going to rate each thing with hearts from one to five!

1. Favorite thing to watch:
Staring with favorite thing to watch this week was Pretty little liars. We bought the third season this week (I know we're very far behind) and are watching it since then. Friday night we watched the first of six DVDs. We ordered some pizza, made the room pitch black, sat on the sofa and watched it. I love how it kinda started like the first season and how you still know kinda nothing. And I gotta say, that Hannah is rocking the new hairstyle!

2. Favorite person: (I follow on social media)
I watched a YouTube video and I loooved the clothes she was wearing, so I looked up where she got them from and it's this British (I believe) store. Lazy Oaf
I instantly fell in love with the first shirt I saw and I wish I had enough money to buy the entire store. I think now it's time for me to go to London again. Just for the single reason to spent my money in Lazy oaf.
Oh! and I also follow them on instagram now so that's why they're my favorite "person" I follow on social media this week.

Anyone wanna buy me this shirt??

3. Favorite thing I did:
My favorite thing I did was getting 14 points (an A) in my first math exam of the year. It's probably a weird fave because I'm not a school fan at all I try to talk about as little as possible especially during break, but I was really happy and wanted to document it^^.

4. Favorite piece of clothing:
My favorite piece of clothing is a kinda red/autumn-color sweater. I already have it in brown and it's my favorite sweater so I bought it again. Yes, I'm one of those people. It's from H&M and was 19,99 euro.

5. Favorite tumblr post:

I rebloggt this pic yesterday and it's my favorite because of the single reason that I am so exited for my concert, which is in 167 days 5 hours and 14 minutes. (I have a countdown on my phone!!!)

weekly FAVORITES

Hey guys!
So like every Sunday I'm going to show you my favorites today. It's not the regular favorites post where I show you random stuff I enjoyed this month. I will show you my favorites in five specific categories.

Then I'm going to rate each thing with hearts from one to five!

1. Favorite thing to watch:
This week I didn't really watch anything. Besides my school books, I watched some YouTube videos but they weren't the best. But what I did watch was the sunset this week, which was amazing! I took sooo may pictures and they look different everyday. Some day it was really orange and the other dark blue. The first days I took them with my phone until I realized that if I took them with my actual camera the quality would increase a lot. So I started doing that and this was one of the results:

2. Favorite person: (I follow on social media)
This week my favorite person is from twitter. Her name is Geordie (@djgeordiegray) I like her twitter a lot and I agree with a lot of her posts and we have a pretty similar mindset in general. She is really funny but also honest and we have the same taste in music which is just a big bonus.

3. Favorite thing I did:
Nothing really interesting happened this week because of school. But that actually brings me to my favorite thing (kinda). My school got 40 a couple of days ago so the entire school went out one hour and we all had balloons. Then there was a countdown and we let them go. I took some pretty rad photos.

4. Favorite piece of clothing:
My favorite piece of clothing is a grey turtleneck sweater. It is in this weird fabric but so soft. I bought it at savers (my favorite thrift store in the US) for like 3$. Because I have a cold it's really convenient that it has a turtle neck because then I don't have to wear scarfs...

5. Favorite tumblr post:
As you may have noticed I love the sky.
